Amidst all the busy preparation for the upcoming Eid celebration, I am quite sure most of you have no back up plan in case one or two of your festive cookies or ‘kuehs‘ start to run low or worse still, go out of stock on the first day! Presenting the Chocolate Cornflakes!
The following video will demonstrate how you can prepare a basic Chocolate Cornflake spread. Demonstration was done by me and my sister, so do mind the many hands and it is also our first time, so mind the mess. 😀
Ingredients needed: -200g of Chocolate (Toblerone was used in the demo) -500g of Cornflakes -Lots of colourful toppings
Note: 100g of chocolate per 250g of cornflakes ratio is advised to fully coat the cornflakes.
Heat up the water
Put in the Toblerone Chocolates (can be replaced with other chocolates you might prefer) into a metal bowl half submerged into the heated water.
Stir till the chocolate melts and of a almost liquid consistency.
Pour them into the bowl of lightly crushed cornflakes
Mix them well and crush them even more (but not too crushed) while mixing if needed
Distribute them evenly into paper patty cases
Decorate it to your hearts desire! The sky is the limit when it comes to garnishes. You can sprinkle rainbow sprinkles, add nuts, put icing and etcetera!
Pop it into the freezer for 15 minutes
Tadaa!! Its ready to be served and eaten!
This method can be customized to your desire! the sky is the limit when it comes to the type of chocolate (from white to dark chocolates) and also the toppings (from sprinkles to nuts)
